TRADITIONAL HAND APPLIQUE & EMBROIDERY
With an emphasis on traditional techniques, hand stitching is very relaxing, satisfying, and has proved to be good for your overall mental health. Needleturn Applique is a technique producing stunning results. It is a skill which, when combined with hand quilting, makes real family heirlooms and is much admired. Join Barbara, who will teach you all the intricacies, whilst you work at your own pace, creating something to be truly proud of. You will learn about colour, threads, using Freezer paper and how to stitch invisibly, a real talent. There is also the opportunity to learn hand embroidery, and smaller projects are always available; a flexible course to suit you.
This course takes place over eight alternate Friday mornings, and you have the option to continue after Easter, beginning on Friday 3rd January, 10am-1pm.Course cost £180, £90 payable on booking and the balance due by Friday 3rd January.
