TUESDAY MORNING STITCHERS Mariner’s Compass.

Simply, a stunning block using the Foundation Piecing Technique which simplifies sewing acute angles to give a dramatic result. Sometimes called the ‘Marmite Technique’, we love it as the finished design looks almost impossible to achieve, but it is easy to stitch a straight line as you are sewing through paper with the lines drawn on! If you haven’t tried Foundation Piecing before, give it a go, you may become hooked. You will make a striking Wall-hanging with a Mariner’s Compass Block in the centre, bordered by more Foundation Pieced Star Blocks. This course takes place over six consecutive Tuesday mornings beginning:
