TUESDAY MORNING STITCHERS Bargello

Bargello is a technique normally associated with 17th-century Florentine needlepoint embroidery, where wavy patterns were created with stitches on canvas and used as furniture upholstery to stunning effect. Patchworkers have interpreted these designs using strip sets of squares and rectangles arranged to give movement to the quilt by creating rising and falling patterns. Although it may sound difficult, the pattern is easy to achieve and you can use the technique for many different projects. We will begin by making a large circular table centre. There may also be time to make a square piece for a cushion or a bag.

Join us for eight consecutive Tuesday mornings beginning Tuesday 24^th February, 9.30am-12.30pm. Course cost £180, £90 payable on booking and the balance due by 25^th February.
